Let’s get started!

Welcome to SeaTable

Whether you want to organize data or map a new business process, SeaTable will help you do it. In the following quick guide, you’ll learn the basics to work faster and easier on your tasks, projects, or ideas as a team.

Start with a Base

A base in SeaTable organizes all information about a topic, task, or process.

You can use a base, for example, for:

Plan a project

Recruit new employees

Monitor a marketing campaign

Manage licenses in your company

Structure your first table

When you open a base, you’ll see one or more tables. Before you can enter data, you need to add more table columns.

A project plan, for example, needs the following columns:

Single select for status

Date for the due date

Employee for the person responsible

Enter your first data into your table

Projects consist of many small steps. Add all the tasks that come to mind.

Tasks that are successfully completed are usually:

Clearly described

Provided with a deadline

Assigned to a responsible person

Link your tables

One of SeaTable’s greatest strengths is linking tables together. Try it out now.

Useful links between tables:

Milestones of your project

Employees of your company

Invoices for your customers

Create a new view

Display only the tasks assigned to you and group them by your projects. You can save this perspective as a view.

A view saves the following settings:

Filter

Sorting

Grouping

Hidden columns

Coloring

Column height

Activate a plugin

In many situations, a different form of presentation can be helpful. For example, activate the Kanban plugin.

SeaTable knows these and other plugins:

Calendar

Gallery

Map

Kanban

Page design

Share your tables, views, or bases

With an external link, another person can take a look at your data. They don’t need a SeaTable account for this.

The external link offers the following settings:

Expiration date

Password protection

Random or custom URL

Invite more team members

In SeaTable, you work together as a team. As a team administrator, you can add new team members.

Here’s how to access team management:
