In SeaTable, recurring actions and actions can be conveniently performed using key combinations. Inserting a new row , displaying the row details or undoing an action - in SeaTable this can be done in a fraction of a second with the right key combination.

Keyboard shortcuts in SeaTable

General
Ctrl F Opens the search function. With ESC close the search field again.
Ctrl G Show next search result.
Ctrl Shift G Show previous search result.
Table view
Ctrl ? Open the overview of available keyboard shortcuts.
Ctrl Z Undo last action.
Ctrl Shift Z Perform last action again.
Ctrl ; Set selected date or time/date field to today.
Ctrl P Print the current view or row details.
Ctrl C Copy a cell or cell selection.
Ctrl X Cut a cell or cell selection.
Ctrl L row lock/unlock (requires an Enterprise subscription).
Ctrl V Paste a cell (if multiple cells are selected, the value will be pasted into all selected cells).
Space Expanding the selected row.
PgUp PgDn Old PgUp Old PgDn Scroll screen (up / down / left / right)
Ctrl ↑ Ctrl ↓ Ctrl ← Ctrl → Scroll to the respective table border (top / bottom / left / right).
Shift Enter Insert a new row under the currently selected cell.
Shift Ctrl Enter Add new row and open the line details.
Ctrl ' Show comment column.
Line details
Shift Ctrl , Shift Ctrl . Go to the next / previous row details.
ESC Closing the row details.
  • For key combinations it does not matter whether a letter like F is uppercase or lowercase. To press a key combination, you do not have to switch to entering uppercase letters.
  • Always press and hold the function key first and then the letter key. For example: To Ctrl + F first hold down the Ctrl and then press once F .

The labeling of function keys and the arrangement of some keys affected in this article are different on a German and an English keyboard. Since the table above is for English keyboards, below is a table comparing affected keys.

For example: If on an English keyboard the key combination Ctrl ; should be pressed, you can use a German keyboard to Ctrl Ö press.
